Hi, my name is Steven Marks.  I'm the founder of Identity Lock.  This is my personal blog where I share my 20+ years of knowledge in the security industry in the hopes of helping prevent more instances of identity theft & identity fraud.  I too have been a victim of id theft.  Several years ago I had my social securty number compromised and the damage the thieves did was unthinkable.  In just one month they opened several auto loans, a mortgage loan and racked up thousands of dollars on my credit cards.  It took me months and even more money to get things back in order.  You can learn from my errors so you can avoid becoming a victim in the future.  Please feel free to contact me at the bottom of this page if you have any questions about identity theft or how to better protect yourself.
